Composition

Each tablet contains:

• Lornoxicam USP – 8 mg

Indications (Uses)

Panacam 8 mg is indicated for the treatment of:

• Acute and chronic pain
• Osteoarthritis
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Ankylosing spondylitis
• Musculoskeletal pain
• Back pain
• Dental pain
• Post-operative pain
• Soft tissue injuries

Mechanism of Action

Lornoxicam is an NSAID that works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, reducing the production of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and swelling. This provides effective relief from pain and improves joint mobility.

Dosage and Administration

• Take as prescribed by your physician.
• Preferably take after meals with a full glass of water to reduce stomach irritation.
• Swallow the tablet whole; do not crush or chew unless advised.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to control symptoms.

• Nausea or vomiting
• Heartburn
• Diarrhea or constipation

Warnings and Precautions

• Do not use if you have a history of NSAID allergy, active stomach ulcers, or gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Use with caution in patients with kidney disease, liver disease, heart disease, or high blood pressure.
• Avoid taking with other NSAIDs unless directed by a healthcare professional.
• Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.
• Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe stomach pain, black stools, vomiting blood, chest pain, or signs of an allergic reaction.

Drug Interactions

Use with caution if taking:

• Other NSAIDs (e.g., ibuprofen, diclofenac, naproxen)
• Blood thinners (e.g., warfarin)
• Aspirin
• Corticosteroids
• Diuretics
• ACE inhibitors or ARBs
