Pantaprazol as 40.mg

Pantoprazole is used to reduce stomach acid and is commonly prescribed for:

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
• Heartburn and acid reflux
• Gastric and duodenal ulcers
• Erosive esophagitis
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (a condition causing excess stomach acid)
• Prevention of stomach ulcers in people taking NSAID painkillers (when prescribed)

How to Take

• Usually 1 capsule (40 mg) once daily, or as directed by your doctor.
• Take 30–60 minutes before a meal, preferably before breakfast.
• Swallow the capsule whole with water. Do not crush or chew it.

Common Side Effects

• Headache
• Diarrhea
• Nausea
• Abdominal pain
• Gas (flatulence)
• Dizziness

These are generally mild and temporary.

Warnings

• Use only for the duration recommended by your doctor.
• Long-term use may increase the risk of vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium levels, bone fractures, or certain infections.
• Inform your doctor if you have liver disease, are pregnant, or are breastfeeding before using this medicine.
