Uses

Deslort (Desloratadine) is a second-generation antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms, including:

• Allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
• Sneezing
• Runny or blocked nose
• Itchy or watery eyes
• Itching of the nose or throat
• Chronic urticaria (hives)
• Skin itching and allergic skin rashes

How It Works

Desloratadine blocks the action of histamine, a chemical released during allergic reactions. This helps reduce allergy symptoms for up to 24 hours with minimal drowsiness.

Dosage

• Adults and children 12 years and older: 5 mg once daily.
• Can be taken with or without food.
• Take at the same time each day for best results.
• Use only as directed by your healthcare provider.

Common Side Effects

• Headache
• Dry mouth
• Fatigue
• Sore throat
• Mild drowsiness (less common than older antihistamines)
