Uses

Ledopif (Linezolid) is an oxazolidinone antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible Gram-positive bacteria, including:

  • Community-acquired pneumonia
  • Hospital-acquired pneumonia
  • Skin and soft tissue infections
  • Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections
  • Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE) infections

How It Works

Linezolid works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, preventing bacterial growth and multiplication.

Dosage

  • Use only as prescribed by a healthcare professional.
  • Dosage depends on the patient’s age, body weight, and type of infection.
  • Shake the bottle well before each dose.
  • Measure each dose using the supplied measuring device or an oral syringe.
  • Complete the full course of treatment, even if symptoms improve.
