Uses
Restop (Risperidone) is an atypical antipsychotic medicine used to treat:
- Schizophrenia
- Bipolar disorder (manic episodes)
- Irritability associated with autism (in selected patients, as prescribed by a doctor)
How it Works
Risperidone helps restore the balance of certain brain chemicals (mainly dopamine and serotonin), reducing symptoms such as hallucinations, delusions, agitation, and mood disturbances.
Dosage
- Take only as prescribed by your doctor.
- It can be taken with or without food.
- Swallow the tablet with water at the same time each day.
- Do not stop suddenly without medical advice, as symptoms may return or withdrawal effects can occur.

- Weight gain
- Increased appetite
- Dry mouth

- Tremors or muscle stiffness

Precautions
- Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine.
- Use caution when driving or operating machinery until you know how it affects you.
- Inform your doctor if you have diabetes, heart disease, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, liver or kidney disease, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Storage
- Store below 30°C.
- Keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture.
